Shawn Stephenson, with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will be joining us at the library to present “The Puffin Study.”
Shawn received a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife at Utah State University and a Master’s of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Alaska, in Anchorage. Shawn has been a wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 28 years. During this time, he worked in a variety of locations: the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement branch in Salt Lake City, Utah, conducting contaminant studies for four years; the Migratory Bird Management branch in Anchorage Alaska, conducting seabird studies for fifteen years; the Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Newport, Oregon for the past nine years.
