concentrate on changes that are occurring in our marine environment as they are reflected in the marine mammals of the Northwest. He will overview the marine mammals commonly seen close to our coastline and recent changes in the presence of various species.
In 1992 the Seaside Aquarium partnered with Portland State University and is now co-coordinators of the Southern Washington Northern Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding Network. The aquarium responds to both dead a live marine mammal on the beaches from Oysterville, Washington down to Tillamook Bay, Oregon.
Friends of Haystack Rock is a nonprofit organization focused on keeping Haystack Rock healthy and thriving. Our mission is to promote the preservation and protection of the intertidal life and birds that inhabit the Marine Garden and Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge at Haystack Rock. We do this in cooperation with Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP) and other partnerships.
