The library will host special programs all summer to complement our theme of “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” – get outdoors – learn about the natural world around us! Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult
Special Program:
Join us at the library Wednesday, August 10 at 2 p.m. for a program with author Mindy Hardwick. She will discuss and read from her Young Adult novel, “Some Stories are Not Seen.” This is the story of a budding young scientist who moves to a small coastal town, where she becomes devoted to learning about sea star wasting disease, and learns there’s often more to a place, and a person, than what lies on the surface.
Mindy Hardwick is a published children’s writer and facilitates a poetry workshop at Denney Youth Juvenile Justice Center, where she teaches with the Reclaiming Futures Program. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College.
This presentation is part of the library’s Summer Reading Program, “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.” All ages are welcome to attend. “What’s in Your Bag?” Come learn how to pack a beach hiking bag!
