The NW Authors Series welcomes award-winning author and musician Willy Vlautin Saturday, February 11th at 2 p.m. This is a hybrid event; join us at the library on the day of the event or watch online: www.cannonbeachlibrary.org. This event is FREE and open to the public. Come early for the best seats!

Vlautin will discuss his latest novel The Night Always Comes and will also play some original tunes that accompany his works. His novels tell the stories of America’s unsung working class, and have been described as brave, scorching, and remarkable.

Willy Vlautin is the founder of the bands Richmond Fontaine and The Delines and has published six novels: The Motel Life (2007), Northline (2008) Lean on Pete (2010), The Free (2014), Don’t Skip Out On Me (2018), and The Night Always Comes (2021).

Vlautin was the recipient of three Oregon Book Awards, The Nevada Silver Pen Award, and was inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. His novels were translated into eleven languages and two of his novels were adapted as major motion pictures.  He teaches writing at Pacific University and lives near Portland, Oregon.
