Samantha Zeman will be discussing zooplankton and its importance in our ecosystem. Samantha is a research assistant at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon. She works in an ocean-monitoring program that collects oceanographic data on bi-weekly research cruises. Her focus is zooplankton taxonomy and quantifying the importance of the lower trophic levels.
