Northwest Authors Series: Writers Read Celebration

Please join us at the library on Friday, February 28, at 7 p.m. as we invite selected authors to read their entries for this year’s Writer’s Read Celebration. This year’s theme is “Views from the North Coast.” The celebration will feature authors reading their own selected works, a chance to meet and chat with local writers, and a light reception. All submissions will be available to read throughout the year in a special binder at the library. This is sure to be a great event! Please contact the library office for further information. This year’s selected writers are:

  • John D. Ciminello (Naselle, WA)–poems–“Deer, Raven, and the Sideview Mirror” AND “Deer and the Apples”
  • Kenneth Robert Class (Stockton, CA)–poem–“Walking the River”  Will be read by his daughter, Emily Class (Portland)

  • Ellis Conklin (Seatle)–Personal essay–“”Views from the North Coast”
  • Mindy Hardwick (CB/Portland)–story–“Fall on the Coast: A Dog’s View”
  • Kay Limbird (Warrenton)–story–“Oregon Beach Cult-ture”
  • Phyllis Mannan (Manzanita)–poem–“The Ocean Beside Us”
  • Jean McGonigle (Astoria)–poem–“In Memory of a Great Storm”
