Claire Landrum

President

Claire is a retired children’s librarian and teacher. At the library, she is the volunteer coordinator, trains the desk workers, maintains the volunteer schedule and hours, works at the front desk, helps in the children’s room, and has been the secretary on the board. She helps with all of the fundraising activities, and her favorite event of the year is the Library Tea in December.

Karen French

Treasurer

Karen is a front desk volunteer, is on the Endowment Committee, and has volunteered for the Book Pricing Committee. She has volunteered for the Fall Festival and the 4th of July Book Sale and has hosted the Annual Volunteer Luncheon.

Amy Jones

Member-At-Large

Amy is on the Book Pricing Committee. She has volunteered for the Fall Festival, the Spring Unveiling Book Sale, the Old and Rare Book Sale, and the 4th of July Book Sale. She volunteers with the ILL program and helps with deliveries and errands for the office.

Peggy Thom

Member-At-Large

In 1987, Peggy and her husband bought a vacation home in Cannon Beach. Besides visiting Bob’s brother, their special “go to” events were the library and the Fourth of July Book Sale. She spent 25 years in education, teaching English and literature for 9 years, and then managing the school library for 16 years. She has been a member of the book pricing committee and is the chair of the children’s library committee.

Mary Kerwin

Vice President

Mary is a front desk volunteer and is on the Acquisitions Committee and the Book Pricing Committee. She has volunteered for the Fall Festival, the Old and Rare Book Sale, and the 4th of July Book Sale, and helps develop monthly themed book displays.

Pam Crone

Member-At-Large

Pam has volunteered at the front desk for several years, works on the NW Authors committee, helped with summer reading and other events, hosted membership meetings, and hosted last year’s Annual Holiday Tea. Pam is a retired lawyer and contract lobbyist specializing in healthcare, domestic violence, civil rights, and social and human services. She also has a teaching background in both K-12 and law school clinical & externship programs.

Roger Neugebauer

Member-At-Large

Roger has been married to his wife Bonnie for over 50 years. They have four children and four grandchildren living around the world. Together, Bonnie and Roger founded Exchange Magazine – a magazine for leaders of early childhood programs. They also founded the World Forum Foundation which organized over 40 global early childhood conferences in 18 countries. They now reside full time in Cannon Beach/Arch Cape where they are unsuccessfully retired.

Tammy Stewart

Secretary

Tammy Stewart and her husband Jim purchased their home in Cannon Beach in 1999. She was a volunteer at her children’s school library and volunteered at her church’s library in San Diego. She has cohosted member meetings, Game Night, and loves volunteering at the front desk.

Caroline Godderz

Member-At-Large

Caroline was born in Spokane, attended the University of Washington, and married and raised a family in Western Washington. She has lived in Cannon Beach full time since 2013. She loves to garden, decorate her home, spend time with her many grandchildren, travel, and spend time reading. She has enjoyed being a library desk volunteer for several years.

Linda Sugano

Linda is the chair of the Acquisitions Committee, is on the scholarship committee, and is a front desk volunteer. She has also served as the chair of the Fall Festival and volunteered for the 4th of July Book Sale. She is on the Scholarship Committee and covers and accessions new books every month.

Phyllis Bernt

Ex-Officio

Phyllis has volunteered at the Library since retiring to Cannon Beach in 2012. During that time she has served as board president and treasurer; has been a Desk Volunteer; and has served on the NW Author Speaker Series and Endowment committees. Phyllis loves to read, do crossword puzzles and knit.
